#52: What’s our NEXT limiting factor?

by Kirk W. McLaren

In all aspects of life and business, there is always a limiting factor when it comes to growth.

There’s no doubt you’re experiencing this right now and even if you’re in the process of smashing through …

You’ll soon be faced with another. And another. Ad infinitum.

However frustrating this may seem – it’s what makes business so interesting and worth doing … especially if you’re the type of person who loves a challenge. (And what CEO doesn’t?)

Thankfully, you don’t have to be caught off guard with your next limiting factor … as long as you understand how your business system works on a deep level.

Once you’ve identified how each component of your system works with the others, you can predict what your next limit/obstacle will be.

And when you have this foresight, you can begin taking preparatory action now so you won’t have to experience the typical lag effect.

For instance, say you currently have staffing issues and can’t find qualified team members.

This is your current limiting factor, but what happens once you solve this?

Will you then need more time on management’s schedule?

More clients?

More inventory?

More capital?

Either way, there’s no better time than now to get started solving your NEXT limiting factor.
